One of the unique things we experience as humans are emotions. Emotions are a very strong part that makes us human.Emotions that we experience like joy, love, anger or even pain. are very strong feelings we experience. But often times it is because we are so emotional we can get into trouble.
I would like to talk about two very powerful emotions that in a few situations, require professional attention.They are depression and anger.Two emotions that seem very different from one another can both start some very major problems. I have seen it first hand as a therapist San Diego.
It is a fact that both issues are big problems because both can be causes of violence.In situations such as anger, it sometimes leads to violence against other people. In the case of depression it can lead to cases of violence against one’s self.
When you are addressing a situation like anger, it can be a very sticky situation.As I said earlier, it is an emotion that has to be taken control of. Because as we well know a lot of people do bad things when they are angry.It does not necessarily need to be physical, it also can come in the form of emotions. Now in regards to depression, this is a dangerous problem as well.It is very dangerous because a lot of times you might not even be aware of it.What I mean is that depression is something someone might experience without you even knowing about it. When that happens, terrible things happen that weren’t expected. Things like suicide. I have seen it happen to often as a depression counselor.
If you sense you are in a state of depression, treat it immediately. Because before you know it, it can go too far.The people you know and love may not even be aware of it. When that happens it can be too late.So treat it early and quickly.It can be fixed.
As you will notice, emotions are in general good things.But they are known to also cause problems.By learning how to address and tackle the problems emotions can be very beneficial.
